Travel journaling as a way of cherishing your happiness

As you take your first step out of your front door on the path to new worlds. The wind will blow away your worries and pick you up to your happy place. You intend on having a great time on the journey. And when you do, you want to hold on to that feeling for as long as you can.

In a travel journal you can recreate that feeling. You can do it whilst traveling, or you can make notes on the way and relive your best moments again when you come home. Let your adventures, fantasies and memories flow on the pages and create your own little happy place to come back to.

You can write about anything you encountered. You can make a big piece out of something really tiny that made you smile, even when you think back on it. In the first example I had a blast with just a cup of coffee. The ice cream I made  was an experience on its own. Why not try to keep that feeling alive. Take pictures whenever possible. You will thank yourself for it later, when you look back at your pictures and get that same feeling you had at that moment.

You can use anything to embellish your pages. You can use stickers, washi, handwriting and die cuts. My favorite embellishments are the little bits and pieces I collect over the time of my travels. It can be anything. From ticket stubs to receipts and even postcards and stickers bought at a souvenirshop. Everything that makes you remember en feel that moment makes your journal so powerful and personal.

Go out and make your adventures worth remembering. Let your worries sail away for a moment and live the positive life you so deserve.
