Think positive, be happy and create happiness

We like to collect little bits of happiness everywhere we go. Our travels, our work, our home, everywhere we can find little things that give us a good feeling.

When I look through a magazine I notice myself being drawn to certain images. Either the beauty of them catches my eye, or they make me feel a certain way. Whenever I see something that makes me feel happy, I want to look at it longer and more often.

    Little bits of happiness

As small as the smell of a particular flower, or the smile on a strangers face. The beautiful colors of the sun setting. The sun shining through the leaves. There are a lot of little things that can make you feel happy or glad to be in this moment.

Sometimes something happens that pulls clouds over your days and we need to search for that little ray of sunlight shining through. At that moment it can be hard to find the things you like or love. That’s where this exercise might come in handy.

As I was going down the rabbit hole that is the world wide web, I noticed that a lot of people have trouble starting to journal. The big bad blank page staring back at you intensely making you uneasy. It doesn’t make things easier.

    My favorite art supplies

Whether you want to make art or write in your journal, you will need some things to help you with that. It can be as simple as a pen or maybe you want something more challenging.

This week I want to share some of the tools I love and use a lot myself. I also want to share why I love these tools and what I use them for.

Your journal lies before you. Waiting for you to create your positive notes of the day. Your pen is hovering above the blank page and the ink just doesn’t want to flow on the page magically. It’s a waist if you want to write your heart out, but can’t find a good subject. What if I could help you out a little?

    Don’t think just art

In our busy lives we keep running forward. We want to be heard, be someone. The high standards that seem normal nowadays, we want to reach up and touch those. It’s become normal to be better than yourself and to keep climbing that ladder to a better place.

We all seem to forget that the best place of all is right here, right now, because that’s were you are. If you want to make a change, you have to start were you are. If you want to be you, the real you, you have to stop running ahead. Stop for one second and empty your mind to clear the view.

The following exercise can help you clear your mind. Stop thinking and let’s just make art. It doesn’t have to be beautiful. It doesn’t have to mean something. It just has to be you. You and your empty mind having fun and no worries for a moment.

Travel journaling as a way of cherishing your happiness

As you take your first step out of your front door on the path to new worlds. The wind will blow away your worries and pick you up to your happy place. You intend on having a great time on the journey. And when you do, you want to hold on to that feeling for as long as you can.

In a travel journal you can recreate that feeling. You can do it whilst traveling, or you can make notes on the way and relive your best moments again when you come home. Let your adventures, fantasies and memories flow on the pages and create your own little happy place to come back to.

5 Bullet journal spreads for positivity

As the sun starts to peek through the clouds, after a long winter. Warm beams touching the young green leaves and awakening the butterflies. Flowers start blossoming, heads turning to the light, their scent moving in the wind and embracing us. It is time to make a new habit of embracing the light.

We want to remember all the important appointments and keep them in our planner or bullet journal. The most important thing we need to remember is the one thing we seem to forget. We need to remember what makes us happy and what makes each and every day special.

    How to keep positivity alive

Every day something good happens. Even though it may be clouded by the negative. A moody customer could overshadow that compliment you got at work, or a rainy day masking that beautiful rainbow you saw. You can still save your day by remembering the positive side in stead of clinging to the negative.
